This is the Serpent
S811 "Cobra
T" 1/8 Scale Competition Truggy Kit. Sharing a variety of parts and
design elements with the S811 Cobra buggy, the "Cobra T" is
unique in
many aspects, and required the development of a variety of specific
parts. Larger wheels and tires, different body, together with a longer
wheel-base and longer suspension arms required intensive testing to
find the right blend of balance and traction. The end result is a
sleek, low profile design, with a perfect left to right and front to
rear weight bias, making it a nimble car that is easy to push hard on
the track.
At the 2011 CRCRC race, Cobra
designer/pilot Billy Easton wheeled a prototype S811 Cobra-T to an
impressive 3rd place finish amongst a stacked field that included Ryan
Maifield, Jesse Robbers and Cody King. At the 2011 Motorama race,
Easton TQ'd the Truggy class and finished 2nd overall with the Cobra T,
proving that the yet to be released platform is a formidable opponent!
